On Daybreak Africa: Ugandan journalists and human rights groups welcome a recent Constitutional Court ruling that outlaws the section of the country’s Computer Misuse Law and pertains to the use of electronic devices to deliberately disturb the peace of others. Authorities in Botswana Wednesday announced that they have lost a sixth soldier in the fight against militant insurgents in Mozambique and added that one soldier died in combat while two were killed in a “freak accident.”

Russian mercenaries operating in Africa have been the brunt of criticism from the U.S, France, and the United Kingdom, after the western leaders accused the Wagner Group of several acts, among them are robbing nations off their resources, committing human rights abuses and endangering the safety of UN peacekeepers.

The European Union is calling on all Sudanese parties to work together to ensure that the northeast African nation returns to a civilian-led government as soon as possible and ahead of the organization of elections.
