Kenya's Faith Kipyegon stormed to victory late on Monday, winning 1,500m gold. Kipyegon, winner of the last two Olympic 1,500m titles, finished with a remarkable time of three minutes, 52.96 seconds. Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay took silver while British runner Laura Muir won bronze. Kipyegon, who took gold in 2017 and silver in 2019, said regaining her crown "means a lot".
