The Tigray People’s Liberation Front says Eritrean military personnel Monday launched an “extensive offensive” in northeastern Tigray, days after peace talks to end the two-year-conflict between Ethiopian forces and the TPLF were postponed.

Libya’s Tripoli-based government of national unity Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey which will pave way to energy exploration in a contested maritime zone in the eastern Mediterranean.
