Sudanese Refugees Flee Renewed Ethnic Violence in Darfur
Residents of El Geneina, West Darfur’s state capital, are fleeing westward towards Chad following claims by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces, RSF, to have taken over the main army base in the capital. For more on the humanitarian situation in El Geneina, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Robert Vokes, the director of programs at Mercy Corps Sudan.
