Analysis: Sudanese Refugees Face Shortages of Basic Necessities
Abdullahi Halakhe, Refugees International senior advocate for East and southern Africa took a recent visit to the border towns of Renk on the Sudan-South Sudan border and Wadi Halfa on the Egypt-Sudan border, amid conflict in Sudan. Thousands of displaced Sudanese are fleeing to these areas and arriving without basic food items such as water, food, and shelter.
