Thousands of people have gathered today outside Mozambique's capital for the burial of a slain opposition lawyer as the country awaits the election results. Kenya's impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua told reporters Sunday that his security team had been withdrawn, and he said that should anything happen to him, President William Ruto should be held responsible. About two dozen world leaders are meeting in Russia for a summit of the BRICS group, an alliance of emerging economies the Kremlin hopes will challenge Western influence in global markets and politics.
