Kenyan President William Ruto plans to appeal a court ruling rejecting a planned deployment of Kenyan police officers to Haiti. Sierra Leone's Foreign Minister says it is important for regional bloc ECOWAS to re-engage with the three countries that announced their "immediate withdrawal" from the group. There has been a fresh wave of separatist attacks, some of them targeting football fans cheering on Cameroon's national team in this year's Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
