Coming up on Africa News Tonight: Kenyans took to the polls Tuesday in what experts are calling a historic closely contested election between Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who are both bidding to replace the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta; US Secretary of State Antony Blinken Tuesday met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to discuss the U.S. strategy for Africa during which the Secretary of State before departing the Southern African nation for the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda recognized Africa “as a major geopolitical force.”
