Zimbabwe’s Electoral Body Explains 24 Hour Voting Extension
Zimbabwe’s Electoral Commission, ZEC, Wednesday released a statement where it blamed legal problems faced by the commission prior to Aug. 23’s election, for the massive delays and shortages of electoral materials experienced on election day. ZEC’s delays resulted in the continuation of voting on Thursday at some polling stations in the southern African nation.
