VOA Africa Celebrates Black History Month
February is Black History Month and is dedicated to celebrating the history and contributions of Africans and African Americans in the United States. It is also a month to reflect on the struggles and successes of Black Americans. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart welcomed Laila Fossie, a multimedia production specialist and a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia, to discuss her experiences in Black History Month and the vision she and other African American young adults have as they enter the workforce.
