African Americans rediscover connections to African continent for Black History Month
As Black History Month continues, the celebration of heritage and identity extends beyond the United States’ borders. In recent years, more African Americans have been making the journey back to Africa — some as visitors reconnecting with their roots, others seeking a new home and new opportunities.
