Africa has more than 24% of the global burden of disease, yet only 3% of the world’s healthcare workers. Experts say people from the African Diaspora, especially those in the medical field, can play a vital role in improving healthcare access and quality on the continent. Linda Muckson Sesay, PhD., the founder of Community Health Foundation, joins VOA’s Linord Moudou to discuss the how her organization is helping to connect the African diaspora with opportunities to help treat vulnerable communities across the continent.
