US, Ethiopia Move Towards Repairing Ties
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken Wednesday met with top officials in Ethiopia where he announced that Washington would be providing the Horn of Africa nation $331 million in humanitarian assistance focused on helping “millions of Ethiopians affected by conflict and drought.” Analysts argue that Blinken’s visit was an effort by Washington to normalize ties between the two nations, however, add that this “will be a process and not a switch.” For more, VOA’s Senior Diplomatic Correspondent Cindy Saine speaks to experts.
