U.S. Defense Secretary Urges NATO Nations to Step Up Ukraine Support

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is in Brussels Thursday for a meeting of NATO defense ministers where he called on Kyiv's allies to dig deep to provide more arms and ammunition to fight Russia's invasion, particularly for air defenses. Austin stressed Kyiv needed both short-term and long-term support, as the war was "a marathon, not a sprint." VOA's Esther Githui Ewart spoke to Carla Babb, VOA Pentagon correspondent in Brussels.
