Technology Report: AI in Political Campaigns
Nearly 20 presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place in Africa in 2024, and according to the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy, an organization promoting credible elections in Africa, the use of Artificial Intelligence in political campaigns is raising red flags. VOA's Paul Ndiho spoke to Zeph Shamba, chairman of the International Political Campaigns Expo 2024, for more on the implications of AI in African elections.
