Of Nigeria’s 223.8 million people, only about 12% are estimated to have any type of government affiliated identification. In collaboration with the Nigerian government and the World Bank, the "Nigeria Digital Identification for Development" project aims to create a digital identification system for all Nigerians to enhance access to services while promoting inclusivity and gender equality. For a look into how the project is being implemented, VOA’s Paul Ndiho spoke to Hilary Damissah, the COO at the Center for Cyber Awareness and Development in Abuja, Nigeria.
