Sudanese divided over who can bring peace to the country
Since April 2023, a war has been raging in Sudan between Army Chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan Rapid Support Forces commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo. With no apparent end to the fighting, many Sudanese remain divided over which faction leader, if either, could finally initiate a lasting peace. VOA’s Paul Ndiho spoke to Shakoor Nyaketo, a Sudanese national and journalist, for an assessment into the current state of the war.
