Somaliland votes for new president
Somalia’s breakaway region of Somaliland on Wednesday held general elections and presidential candidates, including the incumbent President Muse Bihi Abdi, who is seeking re-election, said the self-proclaimed Republic wants recognition from the international community. For more on the elections, VOA’s Esther Gtihui-Ewart spoke with Abdifatah Tahir, a Research Fellow at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield.
