2023 Russia-Africa Summit Opens
Russian President Vladimir Putin Thursday opened the two-day Russia-Africa summit with leaders from the continent in St. Petersburg for diplomatic meetings focused on strengthening relations with the Kremlin. The summit is happening amid growing global tensions triggered by increased food prices, Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea grain deal and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
