Rare footage of an area outside Khartoum which Sudan's Armed Forces say they have reclaimed from the paramilitary group known as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has been shown by a news organization. British Broadcaster Sky News visited the area where a brigadier told of close range fighting within local stores which now lie in ruins. At a military hospital young soldiers were recovering from gun shot wounds and burns. Local people spoke of their relief that their neighborhood has been secured by government forces.
