Paul Rusesabagina Arrived in the US: White House
U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan Wednesday confirmed that Paul Rusesabagina, an outspoken critic of Rwanda’s government who spent over 900 days in prison in the East African nation, arrived back on US soil and was reunited with his family. Rusesabagina, whose efforts to save people during the 1994 genocide which inspired the Hollywood film “Hotel Rwanda,” was facing a 25-year sentence on terrorism charges but was commuted by authorities.
