Pan-Africanism and the Organization of African Unity
The Organization of African Unity, OAU, was formally established in 1963 by 32 independent African leaders. Former Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie’s foreign minister at the time, Ketema Yifru, is said to have played a major role in the creation of OAU.
