Earlier this week, nonprofit Corus International launched a project in Abuja, Nigeria to increase the agricultural productivity in the country's cocoa value chain. The project, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food for Progress Program, aims to empower Nigerian farmers to achieve sustainable income growth by enhancing their cocoa harvests. For more on the initiative, VOA’s Vincent Makori spoke to Paul Macek, vice president of rural economies and agricultural livelihood at Corus International.
