Malawi Actress Mwai Simbota Reflects on International Film Competition Win, Ambitions
Malawian actress Mwai Simbota, recently won the Best Actress Award in a Feature Film Southern Africa at the Sotambe International Film Competition held in Lusaka, Zambia. Sotambe, which means come and watch, is an annual international film festival that attracts artists from across southern Africa. The accolade has spurred Simbota’s ambitions to climb even higher. Red Carpet spoke with Simbota in Blantyre.
