Longtime captives, including one American, freed from Syrian prisons
Syrians who fled to neighboring countries began returning to their homeland earlier this week following the ouster of President Bashar al Assad. State forces have formally handed over power to rebel groups, and former targets of the Assad regime, including one American, are being freed from Syrian prisons.
