Kenyan Religious Leaders Protest LGBTQ Rights
Kenyan religious leaders Wednesday took to the streets of Mombasa, a port city, to protest a ruling passed Tuesday by the nation’s supreme court that reaffirmed the LGBTQ community’s right to association. Protestors are calling on President William Ruto to follow in the footsteps of his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni, who has condemned LGBTQ relations, despite criticism from Western leaders who regard the matter as a human rights violation.
