Hurricane Daniel caused widespread flooding across Libya over the weekend, particularly in the Cyrenaica region in the east of the country. In the city of Al-Marj, torrents flooded the streets and work began to rescue families stuck in their homes. The hurricane uprooted a number of trees in the city of Benghazi, with some of them falling on cars and homes.
