Gaza-Based Journalist Shares Account of Covering Israel-Hamas War from Inside an Ambulance
A journalist based in Gaza told VOA of the "overwhelming experience" in documenting the Israeli-Hamas conflict on the besieged enclave following the October 7 attack by Palestinian militant group Hamas. Fuad Abu Khamash, a resident of the southern part of Gaza, says he is embedded with an emergency team covering the war from within an ambulance. He details finding children’s toys among the rubble as Israel continues its bombardment of Gaza in its bid to annihilate the militant group Hamas.
