Former U.S. President Donald Trump appeared in court on Thursday afternoon. His court appearance follows accusations from a grand jury in Washington D.C. that he illegally tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Additionally, security details increased outside of the federal courthouse in D.C. where the charges were read.
