Ethiopian Airlines Resumes Tigray Flights

Friends and family were finally reunited in Mekele, Tigray after Ethiopian Airlines resumed flights from Addis Ababa Wednesday following the signing of a peace agreement in November. The peace deal ended a brutal two-year conflict between the Ethiopia's federal government and leaders of the Tigray People's Liberation Front. Africa 54 host Esther Githui-Ewart spoke with Professor Girmachew Alemu of Addis Ababa University College of Law and Governance, who said the resumption of flights was a significant step in establishing trust between the two warring parties.
