Entertainment Promoter Talks Rolling Cocoa Festival, Ghana Music, the Rise of Afrobeats and More
Music and culture experts applaud the accomplishments of African entertainers whose work profusely contributed to Afrobeats attainment of mainstream success worldwide. Among them is Osita Ugeh, popularly known as Duke. He is the founder of Duke Concept, a U.S.based promotions company that has overseen reputable concerts and festivals, including that of multi-award-winning artists like Burna Boy, Davido and Adekunle Gold. Duke recently visited VOA’s studios in Washington where he sat down with Mike Hove to discuss his next event, the Rolling Cocoa Festival which is focused on promoting Ghanaian music and culture. He also spoke about his contributions towards the success of Afrobeats in the U.S., and more.
