Democratic National Convention opens in Chicago
Thousands of Democratic Party delegates this week will meet in Chicago, Illinois to formally nominate incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, as their official presidential ticket for 2024. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA’s Carol Van Dam, from Chicago, for a live look into the expectations surrounding the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
