Deaths from non-communicable diseases like cardiovascular disease, mental and neurological disorders and diabetes, have been rising in sub–Saharan Africa. They account for 37% of deaths in 2019, a big jump since 2000 according to WHO. Linord Moudou spoke to pharmacist Mangane Bouthia.
