Congolese in conflict-battered Goma call for end to fighting, turn to Lake Kivu for water
Residents of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s eastern city of Goma on Thursday started turning to Lake Kivu for water as fighting between the army and M23 rebels disrupted regular water supply. Residents who spoke to reporters said they want a ceasefire in Goma because the key trading city is facing hunger.
