U.S. President Joe Biden on Monday praised the accomplishments of African Americans at a Black History Month event hosted by the White House, with Biden telling the audience, "History matters. Black history matters." Biden said Americans can't learn simply what they want to know. "We have to learn everything. The good, the bad, the truth, and who we are as a nation," he said.  He went on to highlight his record of empowering black Americans in the country.
