Prior to winning the 2024 U.S. elections, President-elect Donald Trump in May was found guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to suppress damaging information ahead of his presidential bid in 2016. Trump’s sentencing was delayed until after the November 5 elections, but now that he is president-elect, what happens to him next is less clear. VOA’s Tina Trinh provides insight.
