Analyst: Israel, Hamas Disregarding International Human Rights Law
The United Nations says two thirds of Gaza's 2.3 million population has been made homeless since Israel began its campaign against Hamas following the militant group's October 7 attack. Gaza's Hamas-run government said at least 13,000 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 5,500 children, since the war began. For an analysis into the humanitarian situation in Gaza, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Omar Shakir, the director of the Israel and Palestine region for Human Rights Watch.
