Incoming Trump administration ‘optimistic’ about the future of U.S.- Africa relations
President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration is remaining optimistic about US-Africa relations, as it competes against China and Russia in the Continent. Speaking to VOA’s Paul Ndiho, Tibor P. Nagy, Jr, the former Assistant Secretary for African Affairs under the first Trump Administration says he hopes the incoming administration invests more on Africa and renews the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA,) which allows eligible sub- Saharan African countries with duty free access in the U.S. market.
