Thousands Flee Clashes in Eastern DRC
Thousands of civilians are fleeing renewed clashes in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo between the DRC army and the M23, an armed rebel group, triggering massive displacement in recent days and exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation for thousands of people. For the latest on the humanitarian efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to François Monnier, the director of programs for Mercy Corps DRC.
