Prolonged Conflict in Sudan Exacerbates Food Insecurity
The United States is expressing concern over the prolonged conflict in Sudan, highlighting reports of renewed fighting in the northeastern suburbs of El Fasher and Wad Medani. As the conflict between the Sudan Armed Forces and the paramilitary, Rapid Support Forces continue, the risk of food insecurity is likely to increase with the conclusion of harvest months.
