Arson Attempt at MLK's Birth Home Renews Concern for Historic Site
A woman was recently arrested and charged for trying to burn down the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr., in the U.S. state of Georgia. In a video captured by bystanders, the 26-year-old woman is seen pouring gasoline on the historic property, which is now a museum. VOA’s Jackson Mvunganyi has more on the history of the house, which is part of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park dedicated to preserving the legacy of the civil rights leader.
