Former Israeli Knesset Member Says Only Option is to ‘Diminish’ Hamas
Meir Sheetrit, a former Israeli politician and member of Israel's Knesset, says the only way forward for his country is to "diminish" the militant group Hamas’ power for lasting peace in the region. However, Sheetrit emphasized that Israel doesn’t intend for the conflict to spread beyond the intended target — Hamas. He spoke to VOA Africa Division Director Salwa Jaafari via WhatsApp.
