US Pauses Niger Aid
U.S. officials Monday announced that Washington will be placing a hold on its aid to Niger after the West African nation’s military junta snubbed a Sunday deadline to return ousted President Mohamed Bazoum to power – a call followed by the failure of the regional ECOWAS bloc to respond with military action.
