Thousands of sub-Saharan African migrants have fled their home countries to places like Tunisia due to unrest or economic hardships. The situation between sub-Saharan African migrants and Tunisians escalated last week when the migrants were accused of killing a Tunisian. Human Rights Watch said that Tunisian authorities have committed numerous abuses against the migrants by transporting them to the desert, destroying their belongings, and subjecting them to physical and sexual abuse.
