Zambia Ready to Compete in Women's World Cup
Zambia's women's national football team is gearing up to make its debut at the Women's World Cup which kicks off on July 20. The Copper Queens over the weekend had a surprising 3-2 win over two-time World Cup winner Germany in a warmup game for this year’s tournament. "It’s only us who are going there for the first time. But that doesn’t mean that we will go there just to participate. We will go there to compete,” said Bruce Mwape, the team's head coach, on Friday.
