Ramaphosa Calls for 'Just Transition' at France Climate Conference
World leaders, heads of international organizations and activists are gathering in Paris for a two-day summit seeking better responses to tackle poverty and climate change issues by reshaping the global financial system. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized Thursday that the shift to clean energy should take into consideration the experience and challenges of poor nations. "We have had to say this should be a just transition, it must take into account the existential situation of various communities, particularly workers who work in fossil fuel establishments," Ramaphosa said.
