MLK's 'I Have a Dream' Speech Site Continues to Inspire Hope
As part of the ongoing coverage of Black History Month, VOA reporter Ignatius Annor visited the site of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s iconic "I Have a Dream" speech famous for envisioning equality for all races. King made the speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial, constructed in honor of President Abraham Lincoln, the 16th U.S. president, who signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed slaves.
