Seven Soldiers Killed in Somalia Militant Attack
Islamist fighters from al-Shabab on Tuesday stormed a military base in a part of central Somalia, killing at least seven soldiers, including the base commander. On Monday, the government announced it had captured two strategic towns from the militants, who have been fighting since 2007 to topple Somalia's central government and impose a strict interpretation of Islamic law.
