U.S. authorities say they stand by the decision taken by President Joe Biden to keep Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on the sanctions list, the reason he is not among the African leaders who are in attendance of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit where Washington is striking deals and boosting relations with leaders from the continent.
