'Cessation of Hostilities' in DRC Agreed at Angola Summit
African leaders gathered in Luanda, Angola Wednesday to discuss the ongoing conflict between the government's army and M23 rebel forces in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Representatives from DRC, Rwanda Burundi and Angola, including facilitator Uhuru Kenyatta, former president of Kenya, agreed on a cessation of hostilities set to begin Friday.
